A little about us
Welcome to the HomePage of Itikat Persians & Exotics
Hello, My name is Lynn Myers. I am sort of the "head human"
around here. I have always been a cat lover but a few years back I was given the most
gorgeous cat I had ever seen. She was a beautiful old fashioned faced Himalayan girl who I
named Mavi. It did not take long for me to become totally hooked on the silky fur, heart
stealing eyes and that wonderful "smushed" face! Before long Mizi, an extremely
handsome "redhead" (Red CPC Persian), came to live with us too!
And the rest is
history.
Itikat was "born"!
After several years of working with Persian and Himalayans, and becoming totally
enamored with the bicolor patterns I fell in love with a gorgeous little red and
white bicolor exotic....and now Itikat is working with Exotics!
While I still very much love the Himalayans, I found myself needed to focus in a
direction, and the direction is bicolor, both long (Persian) and short haired
(Exotics).
If you are wondering about the name "Itikat", its a Turkish word for belief. I
had spent a year in Turkey, and still had the dictionary. I decided I wanted to give my
cats and my cattery unique names, and as you will see, they are quite unique.
Our cat family has grown over the past few years and in these pages you will find pictures
of them all. Our cats have run of the house for the most part and our kittens are raised
underfoot, caged only for safety in the first few weeks from drafts and other possible
dangers to babies. All are cuddled and caressed from birth and are very well socialized to
promote sweet dispositions. All of our cats and kittens are CFA registered.
Pet Kittens are placed with a spay/neuter contract and a STRICT NO DECLAWING
clause. Many have inquired as to my reasons for the altering policy for pets.
